How long have you been in the mowing industry?
I have been in the industry for about 30 years.
How would you describe the culture at Diamond?
Everyone at Diamond is on the same page; people are driven, dedicated, and do things right. I am proud to say the first guy I hired twenty-five years ago is still here. This is a place people want to work.
In your opinion, what have been the biggest contributions to the growth and success at Diamond?
There have been a few contributions to the success. We strive to have great customer service always. If a customer has an issue with a product, we work to take care of it immediately. We have the ability to make changes quickly. We also have a generous return policy for our customers.
Another huge asset has been the people. We have a number of people who have worked for Diamond a long time. I’ve said before, there are many jobs I cannot do such as weld or run some of the machines but we have found people who are talented at those things. We work to find great people who can do their job well.
It is because of all these things we have seen success here at Diamond.
Where do you hope to see Diamond in the next 5 years?
I hope to see continued growth. I am excited about new products to come along over the next few years, which should help with this growth. Overall, I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds here at Diamond.
